Highlights: Qinhai 每Tibet Plateau, the highest plateau in the
world, the Everest Mount, the highest mountain peak in the
world, the largest mountain glaciers in the world and many
others unique landscapes and cultural relics in Tibet and Yunnan
provinces.
Notice:K persons who have following condition could not
participate this adventure: high-blood pressure, heart problem,
vegetarian, disability or still having ailment.
L During the tour, try to have no friction with local people.
Once frictions come out, information of tour leader is
necessary. Then the tour leader would solve the problem.
M the local custom and religion must be respected.
N the items that need to be prepared by tour participants
themselves: sunglasses, cold-proof cap, gloves, winter clothes,
rainwear, Sneakers and common medicine that you think it is
necessary for you during the tour. But the following things are
not suitable to be carried on tour: valuable jewelries, contact
lens and other things that are fragile.
Itinerary:
Day 01, Entry of Beijing
Meeting in the hotel at 17:30 pm in Beijing. A reception dinner
is arranged. Before the dinner, a self-introduction of all the
tour participants are arranged; then a brief introduction of the
adventure, as well as all the things that need to be cautious
during the tour is followed.
Day 02, Beijing/Lhasa
Take a morning flight to Lhasa CA4112 (09:15 每14:35). Once in
Lhasa, rest in the hotel to acclimatize ourselves to the high
plateau climate and do the last preparation for the adventure.
Day 03, Lhasa
Sightseeing in the town. Visit the grand Potala Palace, the
castle style palace that has been added on the list of the World
Heritage, Norbulingka, the summer palace for Head Lamas in the
past and the Drpung Monastery, the largest monastery in the
world with Lamas about 10,000.
Day 04, Lhasa/Nam Co Lake
Leave Lhasa for Nam Co Lake, a holly lake in the heart of Tibet
people with an altitude of 4,200 meters above sea level. The
pious believers of Tibetan religion take it as supreme Lord and
worshiped it by measuring the lake around with theirs body
prostrating length by length.
Day 05, Lhasa/Gyangze
Leave Lhasa for Gyangze, a town about 4,500 meters above sea
level with a history of 600 years. Today we are going to explore
one of the three holly lakes, Yamzho Yumco, and the ancient
castle where many moving stories happed during the war against
foreign invaders could bring you back to old days.
Day 06, Gyangze/Xigaze
Leave Gyangze for Xigaze, the center in rear Tibet for economy,
culture, politics and transportation, with an altitude of 3,500
meters above sea level. On the road we are going to encounter
the most famous Karula Glacier, a glacier that stretches 130
square kilometers. Meanwhile, Xigaze is also the place where the
Palace of Panchen Lama locates.
Day 07, Xigaze/Tringri
Leave Xigaze for Tringri, a small town located on the way
leading to Mount Everest. On the way we could enjoy the vast
plateau grassland with grazing yaks and Surging mountains with
snow and ice covered on the top.
Day 08, Tringri/Base Camp
In the morning, arrive at Rongbo Monastery, the world highest
religious architecture with an elevation of 4,980 meters above
sea level. The Monastery is also the best place to admire
Everest Peak, the highest peak in the world. Continue driving to
the Base Camp, so we could go further closer to the Everest Peak
and take the chance to enjoy the grand view of the world best
preserved Mountain glacier, Rongbo Glacier and the beautiful
sunset with the Everest Peak as its background.
Day 09, Base Camp/Xigaze
After enjoying the beautiful sunrise at Everest Peak, we are
going to leave the grand Himalaya Mountain for Xigaze. On the
way we are going to run across over many mountains with peaks
covered with ice and snows that are ranked as world highest
peaks.
Day 10, Xigaze/Lhasa
Leave Xigaze for Lhasa
Day 11, Lhasa/Bayi Town
Leave Lhasa for Bayi Town, a town with an elevation about 3,500
meters above see level. On the way we are going to pass through
Nyingchi, a beautiful county with green mountains and clear
water; the famous Yarlung Zangbo River runs across this county.
Day 12,Baiyi/Bomi
Leave Bayi Town for Bomi, a town about 2,100 meters above sea
level. On the way we are going to run through primitive forest
that is teeming with many different wild animals. Meanwhile, we
will exporle the Grand U-turn of the Yarlung Zangbo River.
Day 13, Bomi/Baxoi/Zogang
Leave Bomi for Bamda, the meeting point of Sichuan 每Tibetan Road
and Yunnan 每Tibetan Road. Bamda is located on the vast grassland
with an elevation of 4,400 meters above sea level. Pass through
this town; we are going to arrive at the famous natural barrier
of Nu River. Here, road begins to twist and make out 99 turns;
meanwhile it drops abruptly from 4000 meters above sea level on
the top to 2000 meters down to valley.
Day 14, Zogong/Markam
Leave Zgong for Markam, the last town that we are going to stay
in Tibet. On the way we are going to run across over Dongda
Mountain, a mountain with an elevation of 3,800 meters above sea
level and covered with snow and ice all year round. Here we will
have a broad view of the high mountain grassland, drive across
Lancang River and visit military service station.
Day 15,Markam/Yanjing/D豆q豆n
After running across Lancang River and climbing over ※Hongla§
Snow Capped Mountain, we are going to arrive in the region
inhabited by Kangba People, a small branch of Tibetan Nation.
From here we could have a far vie of ※Tian Zang Tai§, a stone
platform that is believed by the local people as the ※road
leading to Heaven§. Here we could also visit the ancient salt
well and experience the primitive method of salt making.
Day 16, D豆q豆n/Shangri-la
Leave D豆q豆n for Shangri-la region. Today, we are going to
explore this picturesque region and its exotic culture. On the
way we could view the beautiful sunrise of Meili Snow Capped
Mountain, high plateau lake, vast plateau grassland, the roaring
Jinsha River and the ancient trade road of tea-horse exchange.
Day 17, Shangri-la/Lijiang
Leave Shangri-la for Lijiang. Driving along the Valley of Jinsha
River we could see the beautiful rive murmuring softly with
small villages scattering on the both sides of the riverbank.
After driving across Jinsha River, we are going to visit the
grand Tiger Jumping Gorge, a world famous gorge. The roaring
sound of the water, like thunders, could be heard from far
places and the furious water surging, bumping between
precipitous cliffs, finally free himself from the George.
Day 18, Lijiang/Dali
In the morning, sightseeing in Lijiang and visit the delicate
designed town 每Dayan Ancient Town, a important cultural relics
that has been put on the list of World herritate, as well as the
beautiful Black Dragon Pool. In the late afternoon, leave
Lijiang for Dali.
Day 19, Dali/Kunming
Sightseeing in Dali. We are going to visit the beautiful
Butterfly Spring and the Three Pagoda of Chongsheng Monastery, a
monastery that has become the emblem of Dali Area and Bai
Nationality. In the late afternoon, leave Dali for Kunming the
capital city of Yunnan Province.
Day 20, Kunming
In the morning, visit the Stone Forest, a mighty forest made up
of groups of huge stones that is a marvelous scenic spot in
China and famous both at home and broad.
Day 21, Kunming/Home
After breakfast, end the tour in Kunming
